Six months in this awesome city . . . damn, Austin is something else! Never expected to be living here a year ago, when I moved I honestly had no clue what to expect. Still, sometimes I wake up with disbelief, surprised like “holy shit I’m in Austin, I live here now.” Living in Connecticut my entire life and now it's 18 hundred miles away, still feels surreal. It definitely took me a while to adjust, but I’m pretty settled in now. A month ago I was lucky enough take a trip back home, hangout with the fam, and catch up with some friends. It was great to go back and get some perspective on everything. I’m really glad I took a chance on this city and the job, not sure where I’d be if I hadn't.

I’ve learned a ton in these past months, made a bunch of mistakes, and have had to figure out grown-up shit along the way. It’s been a crazy transition, from commuting to college while working part-time to living on my own in a brand new city with an actual design gig. I’m really fortunate. I feel like I've grown a lot so far, I've met a bunch of really rad people, and I'm constantly having fun. Not to mention the food and beer here are totally killer. Austin has been crazy kind to me, I can definitely see myself staying here for a good chunk of time.

Stoked for the next six!
